Yesterday was a great day for Chris Lesieur, known to his friends in risk management circles as “the Frenchie with the dark glasses”.
The newly promoted Chief Operating Officer of Enterprise Governance Technologies (EGT Group) – and still Managing Director of its 100% subsidiary RimaOne GmbH, was proud to present the results for a great year to shareholders and invited journalists.
The number of projects has been multiplied by 10 in a year, the approach has been recognised as a model by professionals and analysts and the solutions offered have been distinguished several times. RimaOne also made giant steps in exploring new areas such as environmental risk (ISO 1400x, REACh for the chemical industry) as well as the whole supply chain, while consolidating its leading position in risk management and compliance automation for the finance industry. This is a real achievement!
The accounts presented showed that the Self Assessment and Issue Tracking & Worfklow Management solutions have in particular exceeded all expectations. TrackingOne and SurveyOne have confirmed their role as complete, easy and extremely flexible solutions for all compliance, governance and risk management processes. The newest module, ControlOne, which can also be used as a controls database e.g. for SOX or KRIs-Engine or for OpRisk-Management, or as a loss database for Basel II, also received great resonance in the market.
Even if this was not really new for branch analysts (the repeated winning of large projects and deals in H1), news of the increase had not yet spread into the market due to the strict non-disclosure policy observed by RimaOne. As an analyst from Frankfurt put it, "the successes in new markets such as chemical and pharmaceutical industry, aviation, automobile and mechanical engineering are really impressive. The so-called Solution Suite developed by RimaOne has quickly set a standard in compliance automation on a worldwide basis in various branches.” He added "RimaOne has already proved its leading position in the finance world but even if solving issues in other branches is always a challenge for newcomers, RimaOne´s solutions have made it there too and proved the versatile application approach right. Hats off!"
Even in the finance industry, RimaOne has been able to spread its wings: alongside the traditional risk management, compliance and governance applications, solutions have been implemented for in many new areas, e.g. legal and procedural risk, credit audit, facilities risk management, ISO 2700x, etc.
The correspondent of a French professional magazine asked Chris Lesieur what were, in his opinion, the main challenges for the coming months. His answer: "A broad range of products has now been developed, the integration of the competence centres has been achieved (editor’s note: EGT Group decided in 2006 to consolidate its software development centres spread out in Europe), the market is now expecting good and extremely efficient solutions, in other words: ours! Therefore I only see one issue: a day is only 24 hours long!”.
When a well-established English professional magazine asked about the prospect of a stock-market listing, Chris Lesieur smiled and said “That’s not my area, but why should we sell something which still has such growth potential?“
