Wombat Financial Software Inc., the high-speed trading infrastructure experts, today announced that Tony McManus, a former UBS Technical Architect, has been appointed the newly created role of Director of Algorithmic Trading Solutions. Reporting to Danny Moore, Wombat’s COO, Tony has overall responsibility for the development and delivery of Wombat’s Algorithmic Trading product suite.
Tony’s career spans over ten years within in the financial services industry. Most recently he served in a technical leadership role within the Equities division at UBS, culminating in his role as Technical Architect within the Cash Equities Division. He was responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of highly available, scaleable, real-time enterprise level systems supporting high numbers of users across a wide variety of technical platforms. Prior to that role, McManus had served in numerous leadership positions spanning businesses such as stock lending, cross product position management, cash equities order management, pre and post trade analytics and client facilitation risk trading.
