London, 27 June 2006 – Investit, the leading fund management consultancy, today announced the launch of Investit Technology - a new service, resulting from an alliance with InvestTech Systems Consulting, a US investment systems consulting firm. Investit Technology will provide enhanced systems consulting, including systems strategy, data planning and architecture, systems selection, implementation and integration - specifically for buy-side firms.
Investit Technology is a unique offering for the buy-side. It combines the complementary breadth of Investit’s front to back office business expertise with the depth of InvestTech’s significant investment systems experience. Investit Technology will be led by Peter Ellis, Principal, based in London. This practice delivers InvestTech’s proven systems implementation experience and structured project methodology, and an extensive pool of ‘on-the-ground’ expertise and resource, sourced from both the US and Europe.
Phillip Swain has joined Investit Technology from InvestTech Systems Consulting as a Senior Consultant, to ensure the transfer of expertise between the two companies. Phillip has 16 years experience in the field of investment management systems, including global work for many large institutional investment companies. His experience includes the evaluation and project management of large-scale implementation projects. Phillip is already engaged in a number of projects - including strategic global OTC derivatives processing reviews.
The alliance between Investit and InvestTech brings together over sixty specialist consultants and an outstanding track record in managing large complex strategic architecture, implementation and technology integration projects - with a demonstrable success rate. In particular, Investit Technology has a proven track record in those systems and areas of the market others have found challenging (eg data management, derivative systems, trade order management and performance measurement/attribution).
Commenting on the launch of Investit Technology, Peter Ellis said:
“We are delighted to launch Investit Technology. InvestTech’s systems implementation experience and its success rate significantly boosts our offering to buy-side clients. In bringing together both firms’ knowledge and expertise, our clients benefit from a unique, end-to-end service from business strategy right through to systems implementation. Having Phillip and the rest of the professional team based here in London will help make this happen. We are already seeing significant client demand for this service, especially in the area of OTC derivatives.”
Also commenting on the launch, Bruce Vollert, Principal, InvestTech Consulting said: “We foresee dynamic growth and change in the UK and European marketplaces, and InvestTech is very excited about teaming with Investit at this time. Together with Investit, we look forward to putting our experience to work, helping firms to cast a vision for future investment technology platforms, selection of the leading tools, and execution through successful implementations.”
