London, July 5, 2006 – SunGard today announced that it has been named as a leading insurance vendor, according to Celent’s ‘Traction Index’, in the analyst’s most recent Insurance Software Deal Trends 2004-2005 survey. Celent’s “Traction Index” represents participating vendors’ level of success in the insurance sector, based on the number of deals undertaken and the types of customers represented by these deals.
SunGard was also named a leading vendor in two categories within the Life & Health segment: Business Process Management Business Rules Engines and Policy Administration. Within the P/C segment, SunGard was named a leading vendor in the Infrastructure category.
