NYFIX, Inc. a leader in technology solutions for the financial marketplace, with the help of its NYFIX Transaction Services clients, raised $122,795 on behalf of the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital on December 15th, 2004. This figure represented the brokerage commissions earned by NYFIX Transaction Services, a Broker-Dealer, on December 15, 2004.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a world-renowned institution dedicated to the research and treatment of pediatric catastrophic illness. NYFIX chose to donate to St. Jude’s because the hospital treats all patients regardless of their ability to pay, an extraordinary mission in an age of explosive health-care costs.
"We are grateful to our clients for their participation in our efforts to raise money for this extremely worthy charity", commented Bob Gasser CEO of NYFIX Millennium. "In addition to the 27 million shares matched in Millennium there was broad participation in our algorithmic and direct electronic access products from both the Institutional Investors and Broker Dealers that made this possible. We look forward to making this an annual event."
Richard C. Shadyac, Chief Executive Officer of St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital commented: "We are so blessed to have friends, like NYFIX, who are helping us save children's lives. Their efforts raised significant dollars for the hospital and for that we are most grateful - they are giving hope to the patients we treat."
