Bracknell, Berkshire, UK – November 22nd, 2004 – Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTU), the world leader in Enterprise Reporting Applications, has been recognised by VARBusiness magazine for outstanding achievement in technology innovation. Actuate 8 was named a finalist in the Enterprise Software category of the VARBusiness Tech Innovators award competition.

VARBusiness magazine, which covers the business of technology integration, honored Actuate at an awards event, attended by Nicolas C. Nierenberg, Actuate’s Chairman of the Board and Chief Architect, on October 18th, 2004, in Coronado, Calif.

Actuate 8 was among 466 entries submitted by 250 companies in nine technology categories.
