Calabasas, December 7, 2004: SunGard Treasury Systems, an operating group of SunGard (NYSE:SDS), today announced that U.S.-based Memorial Health, a two-state healthcare organization serving 35 counties in Georgia and South Carolina, has selected SunGard’s AvantGard-ASP solution for cash management with cash positioning and cash ledger, and accounting functionality to map transactions to the general ledger.
The treasury solution, delivered via an ASP-based framework, facilitates 7,000 transactions a month from 25 accounts per bank. “AvantGard-ASP delivers comprehensive treasury functionality without the issues associated with an internally installed solution, such as the cost of servers and staff and the concern of data integrity,” said David McCorvey, director of financial reporting and treasury management, Memorial Health. “The reality was that our former provider ceased service with very little notice, and SunGard Treasury Systems took us from the old system to a new system in an effective and focused way with our best interest in mind. The customer service continues to be phenomenal,” he said.
Ken Dummitt, president, SunGard Treasury Systems, said, “SunGard’s AvantGard-ASP can be implemented quickly with a relatively seamless transition. Our team is here to work with each customer individually to support their specific needs, before, during and after the selection and implementation of their AvantGard solution. Excellent service is just as important to us as providing the best product available today.”
