Maidenhead — December 6, 2004 — Good Technology, the leader in industry standards-based wireless messaging and corporate data access, today expanded its sales and support operations to France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands and Mexico. Good also introduced GoodLink Hosted Edition™ for VARs and ASPs and announced a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro in the US to offer a combined GoodLink-Treo solution. Good is increasing market penetration to enterprise customers of all sizes and delivering more value to the channel partners and service providers that serve them.
Reaching Global Customers
Good Technology is serving large, multinational customers with expanded sales and support operations in Europe and Latin America by bringing corporate presence to France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands and Mexico. GoodLink 4.0 will now be commercially available in all of these countries as well as in the United Kingdom, US and Canada and will offer enterprise customers a broader choice of standards-based handheld devices, carrier-agnostic operation and advanced end-user and IT management features.
"Enterprise professionals today are increasingly distributed, global and mobile. Having real-time access to email, calendar and corporate applications across all these divides means competitive advantage," said Terry Austin, president, Global Field Operations, Good Technology. "Expanding the avenues of GoodLink distribution empowers our customers to transcend geographic and physical infrastructure boundaries with powerful wireless messaging and data access always at their fingertips."
Through Good’s partnership with Nokia announced last month, GoodLink will also be available on the Symbian platform, the leading mobile operating system in Europe.
GoodLink Hosted Edition Brings GoodLink to Small Enterprises
GoodLink Hosted Edition, also announced today, provides a secure, private, managed service for customers who use hosted Microsoft Exchange. Resellers and Application Service Providers can now extend their service offering with wireless messaging for the enterprise. These service providers can run multiple company domains on the same GoodLink Server while ensuring secure boundaries to protect sensitive corporate information. Using GoodLink 4.0’s Secure OTA technology and self-service capabilities, ASPs and resellers can provision their hosted customers more quickly and cost-effectively than ever before.
Broadened Distribution
In addition, Good Technology today announced a distribution agreement, initially in the US, with Ingram Micro. Ingram Micro, the world’s largest technology distributor, will now offer a family of bundled enterprise wireless solutions comprised of GoodLink on the palmOne Treo 600 and Treo 650. Resellers can purchase the bundled solution in one place, and package it with a device activation for their enterprise customers. GoodLink on the Treo smartphone provides IT managers with a fully integrated wireless messaging solution featuring advanced wireless management and security. GoodLink’s end-to-end AES encryption; Secure OTA™ implementation and management, erase and restore; and role-based administration simplify deployment and lower wireless TCO for enterprises. Resellers can contact Good Technology to get more information about authorization.
