Good Advances Enterprise Wireless Management and Security; Expands Distribution for Small, Medium and Large Enterprises

Delivers Secure Over-The-Air Smartphone Application Management; Operates on Any Carrier Anywhere in the World; Enhances Competitive Advantage for VARs with GoodLink Hosted Edition and Ingram Distribution Agreement; and Launches Operations in Seven Additional Countries

Maidenhead — December 6, 2004 — In a series of related announcements, Good Technology, the leader in industry standards-based wireless messaging and corporate data access, today introduced powerful technology innovations to dramatically lower the cost of wireless deployment and management for the enterprise. Good also broadened its distribution channels to empower more small, medium and large distributed enterprises with ultra-secure, easy-to-use wireless messaging and data access.

GoodLink™ 4.0, announced today, expands on the lead Good established two years ago with its zero-desktop footprint by providing Zero-IT-Touch™ management of GoodLink and all other smartphone applications. Good’s innovative Secure Over-The-Air™ (Secure OTA) technology uniquely enables ultra-secure and very low cost wireless system administration. With Secure OTA, users never have to bring their device to IT to be provisioned or to implement any software or policy changes, even the first time they deploy it. In addition, Secure OTA enables IT to deliver third party software to GoodLink-powered handhelds wirelessly.

Also featured in GoodLink 4.0, a new technology called Global Connect™ provides connectivity through any GPRS or CDMA carrier in any country around the globe for greater international support without roaming. Distributed enterprises and multi-national organisations can now cost-effectively and seamlessly manage a dispersed wireless user base, enhancing security and corporate compliance. Broadening its reach to enterprises of all sizes, Good also introduced GoodLink Hosted Edition for VARs and ASPs, extending GoodLink wireless messaging to enterprises that rely on hosted Exchange environments. Good also announced a distribution agreement, initially in the U.S., with Ingram Micro, the world’s largest technology distributor with nearly 165,000 channel partners, under which it will offer a combined GoodLink-Treo solution, greatly simplifying the purchase and deployment of GoodLink enabled smartphones.

Continuing its global expansion, Good announced new sales and support operations in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, and Mexico. For more information, please see "Good Expands with New Operations in Seven Countries, GoodLink Hosted Edition for VARs and Distribution through Ingram Micro," also released today.

With today’s announcements, Good now addresses all of the key enterprise requirements for wireless messaging:

o Wireless delivery of enterprise messaging and PIM applications with real-time push synchronisation and no desktop footprint
o Broad support for industry-standard handhelds with full messaging functionality
o Enterprise-class security, wireless administration and management tools
o An easy-to-use, intuitive user interface
o Enterprise-class support

"Good continues to deliver on our vision of providing customers with end-to-end systems that meet all of IT’s critical security and wireless management requirements on users’ choices of industry standard devices," said Danny Shader, CEO, Good Technology. "By expanding Good’s worldwide reach and opening up new channels of distribution through leading partners such as Ingram, we are enabling small, medium and large enterprises alike to stay connected with business critical information regardless of their physical or IT infrastructure boundaries."
