SonicWALL in major distribution deals at GITEX Dubai 2004

SonicWALL Middle East, a leading provider of integrated security, productivity and mobility solutions, today announced signing two majordistributorship deals at GITEX Dubai 2004.

Patni Computer Systems Ltd. (PCS), which ranks among the top 4 Indian computer hardware companies with an astounding 30% revenue growth in the year 2003, will act as a distributor for SonicWALL products in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, while Netland Computer Consultancy, a Dubai-based technology firm, will be responsible for UAE distribution. 'Since we established our regional headquarters in Dubai earlier this year, we have been aggressively pursuing distributors and resellers to strengthen our market position,' said Asad Haque, SonicWALL Middle East general manager.

Through this strategic tie up with SonicWall, PCS will offer the latest internet security appliances, mainly consisting of firewall technologies with value added services like vulnerability scanning, content filtering and anti virus protection. With a clientele portfolio including leading corporates, educational and financial institutions, PCS executives were upbeat about the alliance.

In its new role, the company will assist its customers in deploying SonicWALL security solutions across a variety of markets, including small and medium businesses, enterprise VPN, service providers, retail/point-of-sale, education, healthcare and government.
