WESTBOROUGH, MA, December 15, 2004 – Tabb Group, the financial markets strategic advisory firm, today announced the appointment of research industry veteran Robert Iati as managing director. Mr. Iati joins Tabb Group from TowerGroup, where he served as research director of its securities and capital markets practice.

Prior to joining TowerGroup in 1997, Mr. Iati held senior positions at Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank Securities. At Lehman Brothers, he managed the implementation of automated trading and clearance systems and led a detailed analysis of the company's global trading systems. During his tenure at Deutsche Bank, he managed technology for global settlements and stock loans, responsible for trading system support for branches in over 20 countries. A frequent presenter at industry forums on many areas of securities operations, Mr. Iati has appeared on CNN and CNBC and been quoted in national publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Forbes and The New York Times, as well as the financial industry publications Securities Industry News, Wall Street & Technology and Traders.
Mr. Iati holds an MBA in finance and information systems from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a BA degree in economics from Rutgers University. He has served on the faculty of the New York Institute of Finance and the Securities Operations Forum and taught at New York University.
