Banco CONAVI - Colombia selected Top Systems to provide its Foreign Trade module, using Topaz Banking version 5.0.

Brief History of Conavi
In October 1972, the directors of several select companies based in Medellin decided to create a Savings and Loans Corporation. Representatives of the Banco Comercial Antioqueño, the Banco Industrial Colombiano, the Corporación Financiera Nacional, Suramericana de Seguros, Compañía de Cemento Argos, and Inversiones e Industria S.A. (Coltabaco) became the founding members. From then until 1974 all the necessary legal paperwork got underway for the creation of the Corporación Nacional de Ahorro y Vivienda – Conavi.
The first office opened on April 1st, 1974 and was located in Junin, in downtown Medellin,. With the motto being "the first customer service company of the country", Conavi started out strong and become the pioneer in the national financial system by introducing and implementing technology which offered the best and most advanced service for its customers.
As proof of this, in 1982 Conavi became the first company to install an ATM machine in Colombia and the first to have its offices on-line nationwide. It helped in the development of the Red Multicolor which brought together several financial institutions that helped widen the scope of the ATM’s and payment locations. It has developed innovative concepts such as the Conavitel, which is a simple dataphone that allows customers to pay with their Debit or Credit Cards; the cordless Conavitel which works with cellular technology; the Gerencia Electrónica which provides a virtual office with a technological platform inside your own firm, and FacturaNet – the first "bill administrator" that lets you pay bills via Internet. All this has helped Conavi become a leader in the fields of customer service and technology. At the moment the Conavitel dataphone is being exported to other countries.
