ASHBURN International launches new GSM prepay solution based on Postilion technology
London 24 April 2002 – Mosaic Software, the global transaction processing solutions provider, today announced that ASHBURN International’s new GSM prepay
solution called GO!Mobile is based on their Postilion Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) system.
GO!Mobile has been developed to enable the electronic top-up of GSM prepay accounts and GSM prepay customers will now have the capability to top-up their airtime accounts through EFTPOS terminals and through the Internet. This solution is based on Mosaic Software’s EFT transaction processing system, Postilion. Postilion is designed to effectively handle the transaction delivery
and authorization requirements of every aspect of the EFT arena. It is used for ATM Processing/Monitoring, EFT Switching and Routing, Point-of-Sale (POS), Credit/Debit Card Processing, Internet/Call Center Payment Authorizations, Prepayment, Internet/Home Banking and Mobile Commerce applications.
The Ashburn International GO!Mobile solution has now gone live with it’s own GSM prepay network in Lithuania, this network consists of 60 Points Of Sale in each of the retail shops belonging to the "IKI" food store chain.
This network was launched in conjunction with BiteGSM, one of the largest GSM operators in the country. The company is now preparing to add prepay services for the two other Lithuanian GSM operators and the POS network is being expanded to other retail points.
"We at Mosaic Software are very pleased to be working with ASHBURN International on this exciting new project, the launch has been very successful and we are looking forward to working on the expansion of the solution to
enable GSM prepay through ATMs and other channels." said Nigel Bidmead, Managing Director for Europe and the Middle East at Mosaic Software.
Expect more joint announcements soon.
