Financial Objects first to commit to the development of Microsoft’s .NET platform for core banking applications
London, 18 April 2002 - Financial Objects, a leading supplier of advanced technology banking software and services, today announced the launch of its new activebank2 product, based on Microsoft’s .NET platform which increases levels of functionality and service provision for end-users.
activebank2 is the result of the development and consolidation of Financial Objects’ ActiveBank product set and its migration to the .NET platform. Microsoft’s .NET technology offers unparalleled levels of system and application integration, Web Services development and deployment, and increased quality and methods of user interaction via multiple devices, instant messaging and alerting technology.
The customer centric nature of activebank2 allows flexible tailoring of products and services with all customer activity seen in a single view. Therefore activebank2 is well suited to support call centre type banking as well as traditional branch banking.
The new product is a fully integrated front-to-back office solution that offers extensive functionality for retail and wholesale banking; providing solutions for treasury and capital markets, lending, retail banking, messaging and payments, general ledger and Internet banking.
activebank2 provides an advanced component-based banking solution offering connectivity, scalability and support for multiple delivery channels, as well as looking to the future through the use of instant messaging, alerting technology and video/voice conversations.
The XML-based solution offers zero footprint deployment via an ASP.NET user interface and gives end-users screen design flexibility resulting in improved workflow and usability. This interface can be supported via browser, PDA, WAP and iDTV.
