Cutter Associates is seeking a Research Analyst to become an integral part of CutterResearch, which keeps asset management firms up to speed with the most current information available on investment systems, operations, data strategy, and industry best practices. Responsibilities include developing compelling research on a variety of topics related to asset management, and communicating analysis and trends in written reports, presentations, and client interactions. The position will interface with software vendors, industry experts, and senior operations and IT staff of leading asset management firms.

Key responsibilities of the position include the following:
- producing in-depth, high-quality research reports on various asset management topics, including front, middle, and back office product reviews, industry and regulatory issues, and operations and technology challenges
-creating and delivering presentations at Cutter Associates conferences and industry events
-contributing to team-based research deliverables
-writing articles for Cutter Associates industry newsletter
-leading member discussions on Cutter Associates webcast events.

A successful candidate will have the following:
-Bachelor's degree required, MBA or CFA ideal
-minimum of five years experience working in the asset management industry with knowledge of investment software products and services is required
-excellent oral and written communication skills
-strong presentation and interpersonal skills
-strong analytical skills with the vision to identify key concepts and trends
-intellectual curiosity for researching topics that are peripheral to areas of core expertise
-a strong team player and self starter who can work independently with limited supervision
-detail-orientation, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
-proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
-Some travel required
